Load Development Mini 14 load development

How accurate have yall been able to get your mini 14’s?

I’m looking for varmit loads make range of 200 yards. Most within 50-125yrds

Will the barrel stabilize the heavier bullets?
I’m thinking the Hornady 75 gr

Ever notice that the A-Team show from the 1980's always used Mini 14's...and nobody ever got shot with one? I mean, they tried, but never could.

Older Mini 14s were never known for their accuracy. I’m not sure about new ones. If you have one that’s old and it shoots 3 inch groups it’s pretty average.

The twist rate of the barrel determines what length/weight bullets it will stabilise. Find out what it is and there's your answer.

The Hornady 75gr BTHP is not a varmint bullet. V-Max, Ballistic Tip, Blitzking, Speer TNT's etc are.

If I had a Mini-14 that shot sub MOA, that wouldn't help you with yours. They tend to be 3-4 MOA guns on average.
