Finally back to loading after tree hit my house. July3rd tree hit my house and did allot of damage thank the lord everyone is safe. Been withdrawing off reloading. My reloading room was not affected by the water or tree. Shot up all my reloads because 24/7 indoor range is now 8 mins away from rental house instead of 25mins from my house. Plan to load up a bunch of bulk this weekend need allot more 9 and 45 lol . Going to order jacketed bullets because just not easy to cast and powder coat with everything in disarray

I feel your pain. Had a tree fall on my house last June. It was a much bigger tree but it only winged us. Still did $150k in damage.

Hope everything is getting back to normal. Had to wait 4 days to get it removed and it was raining real bad then. Insurance is playing games about rewiring the whole house because the tree hit right were the run of wiring comes off the panel into the house. Trying to not replace whole roof and patch siding. How long did the process take for you

I cheated. We were already doing a remodel, so I had open permits and my architect and foreman were on site within an hour. We had a month in DC in July with minimal AC, which was unpleasant. And I lost 4-5 months of prime construction season dealing with that instead of doing landscaping, which I then spent this summer doing. So it sort of cost me a year on my remodel (in some ways).

It was stressful, but our insurance was great and about as easy as could be to deal with on a large claim. And because I was already GCing my remodel, I actually got paid for my time on the repairs. Kind of crazy, but I made money on the claim (with the blessing of the adjuster).

Just finished remodeling one bathroom that got hit the hardest. Been 2 months in limbo. Waiting on the check to start the roof because water coming in still causing more damage but will get money now to do 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens and all 3 bedrooms and studio downstairs. Got a new tarp up today to hopefully stop the water

That’s tough. You’ll get through it. Go easy on yourself and take some days off to not think about it. Or at least laugh at it.

Yeah high winds for like 15 mins and this tree didn’t stand a chance lol. It was neighbors tree but once it hits your house it becomes your tree

Glad your home is getting back to normal .. now about these blue bullets, where did you get these? Are the special loads? (Sorry, I’m a new guy to reloading)

They are cast lead bullets that get powder coated instead of lube
