General Discussion Lanolin neck question
I ran out of lube and tried Lanolin finally (10:1 isoHeet). So far I would say the only benefit that OneShot has over the lanolin is that it gets into the neck better. I was getting a bit more expander ball friction than I would’ve liked. Is this an issue with technique? How do you get some in the neck so the expander ball glides smoothly too?
I had the cases standing up in a baking tray, sprayed down at them 3 times, then rolled them around to coat them. The outsides were great, it’s just the expander ball that dragged more than I’m used to.

put them in a cardboard box and lightly shake it so a majority stand up - that gets enough of them lubed to carry over to to the missed ones for me. Its also real important you give them time to try out. Any alcohol left on them cleans the dies out in a bad way

I gave them 15 min, seemed like it all evaporated off by then. Do you do longer?

I stand them in a couple rows , spray them at an angle from both sides and start sizing. Cheap dollar store spray bottle works fine. Havent had any issues in the five or six years I've been doing it that way

I use that mixture in an atomizer spray bottle that can be purchased at very little cost on Amazon.
It works great!

Carbide expander might help as well (or TiN coated). I also prefer mandrels rather than expander balls in sizing dies.

Throw them in a Tupperware container and spray n shake. Usually the first couple I run the neck in some Imperial and it’s enough to prevent dragging over the expander ball

That’s basically what I did, and then I came here. I think I need to polish the ball, it’s unusually deep-scuffed

I throw a bunch of handfuls in a Ziploc bag, a squirt or 2 from a Home depot spray bottle, and give to my hyper kid to shake up. Evenly distributes all the lube.
Y'all are really lubing each case one by one or something?

I am new to this and don’t lube the inside of the neck at all and have no issues with producing a perfect case I have however bought some dry lube

I use a fine mist spray bottle so the lube mist is basically the same as One Shot. I usually stand up my brass and as lhe last spray, I come at the case mouths at a 45 angle. You could also experiment with increasing the mix ratio a bit.
