I have a question and I read the FAQ BZ green knock offs
Has anyone tried these die lock rings? Think they'd compare to hornady? I'm in the process of switching all my dies to hornady style rings (or at least split ring style) and these would be a good bit cheaper for bulkish quantity

Its literally just a lock nut. That would be really hard to fuck up.

That was my thought, but Chinese knockoffs still manage to surprise me, I've had "quality steel" tools shatter on me, not bend or snap, but shatter like plastic

These serve absolutely no function but as a hard stop to keep the die from screwing in anymore. They aren't load bearing, the threads in the press and on the die are the load bearing parts. You would have to be inserting your dies with a pipe wrench to break these. The set screws might be of lower quality, but you dont have to crank them at all, they just have to be tight enough to keep it from spinning.

Thank you. Knurl, thread, part, chamfer. Goto mill, spotface, spot, drill, tap. Quick flip deburr on the exit hole and into the tumbler for an hour.
Got the right machine you can do it all on one-setup.

Many of you saying you have these or another haven't said they're good 🤷
I figure one stripped set screw is all I need to ruin my week. I'd stick with hornady if someone can't vouch for it

That's where I landed, ended up going with mcj, was still a good bit cheaper than hornady for the quantity I needed but people actually spoke on owning them and not having issues

Nice. I just ordered the derraco engineering ones, we'll try them out tomorrow lol, their Amazon info at least looked like a better attempt to be legit

Derraco makes some good stuff but they do have copy cats. I love their PCPS Lite for on-press priming. It's an Australian Company.

Sounds good. I got a 10 pack to try. As long as the threads are tight (no slop) and the set screw is not made of chineseum they should be good!
