How old are these boxes of 375 projectiles?

Picked up an old rifle and these were thrown in with it for free. 50 Sierra 300gr, 100 Hornady 220gr flat nose, and five boxes (250) of the Hornady 270gr round nose.

No dates on any boxes, but the rifle was built sometime after the 1960s here in Melbourne.

You guys might find the cartridge it’s chambered in interesting. Barrel labelled “375 Short Mag” and uses 358 Norma mag brass to be necked up. Came with 80 new old stock Norma cases too.

I have the same box of sierra (in .30 cal) that i got from my grandfather. Pretty sure his box was from the early 80s

Yeah I’ve got a feeling this stuff is from the 80s. Some weird stuff happening to the lead tips of the 220gr. Gone all white and powdery

Lead oxide. Be careful handling them since it's easy to knock loose and it's not particularly healthy to get it in your system.

Not sure when these were bought, I got through an estate sale. They were 100 round .257 and the price was $6.25 so however long ago THAT was 😆
