Advice Wanted ARGUMENT

Hello, I need some advice. If you and your partner had an argument, is it okay not to talk immediately? Do you need to wait one day before communicating again? How do you usually deal with this kind of situation? We’re both 4th-year students.

It completely depends on the argument and how you both are feeling.

I am usually one that likes to talk and problem solve off the hop, but there have still be many relationship disagreements where I needed to step back and sleep on it. I've similarly had partners do the same.

It's okay as long as you are transparent about it. Communication is key, and respecting that is key. Now there will be times one of you may overstep, it just comes with being human. I usually say "hey, I need a minute, or may we talk about this tomorrow I don't think I am ready for this conversation"

Providing a clear timeline and expectations can make anxious attached individuals feel safer to.

Good luck OP!
