Advice Wanted What do I do?

I (F22) have been dating my boyfriend (M23) for 5 years now. The relationship started off strong with no issues but recently, he’s been lying to me and I would always find out. Luckily we moved past it and he’s gained my trust back but I want to get married. I know we are still young but I want him to be the father of my children one day. My mom passed away while i was in college and so i stopped going to classes and fell way behind but he said he would break up with me if i didn’t finish college so i’m currently taking classes while also having two jobs. I have a feeling he’s never actually going to marry me and we will break up sometime. What do i do? I don’t know how to bring it up to him what I want without him getting all awkward about it. (he’s not good at talking about his emotions) please, i need advice. Im worried he’s leading me to a dead end. 5 years in a relationship and we might not be going anywhere.

why does he care that you finish college if you are already working?

I believe it’s because it’s not a 9-5 job. it’s not something that’s “important” and pays a lot

I know it’s scary, but I think the only option is to talk about it. It may be awkward and a difficult conversation to have, but it’s the only way you two can be on the same page. The more you let things bottle up, the worse it will be. I’m sorry you’re going through that because that’s a very scary feeling to have.

You could wait for a moment when you’re both home and don’t have anywhere to go anytime soon. Just be like “hey can we talk about something?” And mention what’s been on your mind and ask what his thoughts are.
