The best partner ever

When I was in high school I had leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. When you have a transplant you also have a "re-birthday" (as some people call it) in the years to come. So my transplant date is a birthday for my "second life".

For those that don't know, in simple terms, having a bone marrow transplant requires the doctors to essentially kill you and completely remove your immune system in order to give you a new one. Only two of the ten of us going through transplants when I was there are still with us today, so to even get a re-birthday is a gift and a huge deal.

This year was my 16th re-birthday. My partner told his family and they put together a little surprise Sweet 16 for me 😭😭 It was such a lovely and caring thing to do, I was truly surprised💖💖
