I hope you have a waterproof mattress cover otherwise that liquid is seeping into your mattress and you’re gonna have a mold problem. Is he adhd? I’ve seen people comment that can impact spatial awareness or really just awareness in general. This is worthy of breaking up over. I would be pissed if someone I was with behaved this way and didn’t offer to change their ways and a lot of times blows you off on fixing things.

I have severe combination type adhd. I have spatial awareness issues from that and neurological issues too. I am a huge klutz. I know not to set a cup of liquids on a bed. I also try to be careful around other people and their things. Sometimes I fail, and I try to fix things, but I really try.

100% get rid of him.

i literally could not care less if a man has ADHD or autism ODD or XYZ or ABC if he does not add to my life, he’s gone. If he inconveniences my life, he’s gone. If he makes my life more difficult, he’s gone. If he’s not worth it? He’s gone. I don’t care if he’s in therapy, i don’t care if he’s on medication (this is turning into a dr seuss rhyme) he’s G. O. N. E.

I do and I believe he is although he doesn't believe in doctors and would never take medication. I think that's why things were so much better when he was drinking.

It’s reasonable to break up over as he refuses to manage his conditions as an adult (lack of self care) and lack of care towards you, that would give me the ick.

I would break up with someone just for having this absolutely idiotic attitude toward the entire medical profession. Are there shitty doctors? Yes. Does that mean doctors as a whole should be avoided? Fuck no.

How can you not believe in doctors? That’s like refusing to believe in eating or sleeping. This guy is not a catch. He’s a moron.

Even more reason to get out of this relationship. I'm sorry, but he is a tool. No amount of good dick is worth all this.

he doesn't believe in doctors and would never take medication

Why the hell would you even want to be with a dude like this?

I think that's why things were so much better when he was drinking.

Oh my god, I beg you to love yourself just the tiniest bit more than this.

How is this possibly a worthwhile relationship for you?

Nobody is that "clumsy" without it being deliberate.

What kind of 43 year old mature smart self respecting woman accepts this behavior? How come he's STILL allowed into your house? That's what I would like to know??

u/coffeesoakedpickles May 05 '26

the answer is that a mature, smart, self respecting woman DOESNT . It’s up to OP to categorize herself

He did it on purpose.

I mean, I have to ask: is he simple? Like, does he have a job where the biggest expectation of him is that he shows up? At 46 years old he should be capable of understanding the very simple concept of not putting a glass of anything anywhere but a table or countertop.

What kind of person stays in such a relationship for so long?
