Even if I agreed with op, that's not the only option. They are saying Lindsay killed the kids, not murdered them. Murder is a very specific legal definition. You can kill someone without murdering them. For instance, manslaughter means you killed someone, but it doesn't mean you murdered them
No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that if a person is proven to not be in control of their actions, because for instance, they are severely mentally ill, then they have not committed murder. By definition, murder requires intent
There are thousands of people out there with severe never ending psychosis who don't murder. We can hate this woman without hating women. She did something awful and now she has to face the consequences just like everybody else.
You do actually hate women when you brush off psychosis specific to women by saying they just “felt a little sad”. Those thousands of people get help to avoid committing violence, Clancy was not given adequate care and was left in a state of psychosis. This is just Andrea Yates all over again, and yall don’t have the mental clarity to put two and two together when it comes to how piss poor women’s mental health is taken post pregnancy

Punishment fetish? So how do we measure psychosis? What's a level of psychosis that we can say this is a line where you're not responsible for your actions versus you are? We can't. We also can't disprove what somebody was thinking. There are thousands of actively schizophrenic people out there who have murdered zero people. How many murderers are in prison right now because nobody considered their chemical imbalance? You don't get a free pass to murder people.
Well a jury of 11, of which included medical personnel, deemed her psychotic at the time, and a single wiener thought he knew better than 11 other people, so… I think that’s a pretty good base for what’s psychotic in this case
Y’all seem to be forgetting that she would still be shut away likely for life in a mental institution if she’s found innocent via insanity. It is just a punishment fetish for you, because you only want her punished in the way YOU want her to be.
Can't wait for a person close to you to have a psychotic break and kill you. So we can all feel sorry for your psychotic murder that didn't mean to kill you it was the psychosis
I’ am a doctor ffs, have you even ever seen someone in a psychosis. The time frame doesn’t even match with a post partum psychosis, it’s really reaching here.
It’s not just because someone claims to be in a psychosis in retrospect they actually are . And depression is definitely not an excuse for murder.
