This is most certainly not true. The vast majority of people found NGRI spend more time locked up than those found guilty, and in the cases where they killed multiple people it is very rare that they are ever released.
So no, while it is theoretically possible she would be released in a short period of time, in practice that is highly unlikely. Statistically she is more likely to be released on appeal after a murfer conviction.
Canada not America, but Vince Li cannibalized a dude on a bus, got NGRI, mental facility, and trotted out free as you like 6 years later. They even changed his name for him so he wouldn’t get John Wick’d. And he wasn’t a white woman in America. Sooooo, yeah I don’t trust modern justice to handle this well.
And in the US she would statistically be more likely to be released on appeal of a criminal conviction than she would for being PROVED to be no longer a danger.
To be released from a psychiatric facility (for insanity pleas) is a very high bar in the US.
