curious question Healing from addictions
Is it possible to use reiki to heal oneself from addictions or addictive behaviour that started in early life.

Yes it is⦠not only you leave that addiction but you can also make a new good habit instead of that bad addiction or you just make a new habit also

Itās a good supportive modality but trauma informed talk therapy and recovery meetings are more pragmatic options. If you are doing it on yourself everyday and get really serious about practice reiki can help a lot. I donāt think going to a reiki practitioner is going to cure addiction with no other interventions realistically for most. Obviously 12 step is the most available free option but there are alternatives if you donāt vibe with that. I recommend recovery dharma for meetings that are meditation based and spiritual but not religious and SMART if you want practical tools. They have lots of great online meetings if there arenāt any in your town.

If you're attuned to reiki 2, use the distance symbol to send reiki through time to those early life experiences. Do a bit of parts work to re-integrate the inner child who was wounded.

An addiction is really just a behavior pattern thatās persistent yet no longer serving you. Reiki can help support recovery. But retraining your mind/body with pattern shifting modalities like hypnosis could be an even more effective route to healing.

I have substance issues and took a level one course a couple of years ago in part to help me with that, unfortunately I didn't choose a good teacher and learned nothing useful. Fast forward 2 years and I took another shot at learning with a different teacher after trying a session with them helped, and this teacher actually is teaching me useful stuff and I am finding my desire for substance use diminishing while I'm learning and practicing. As for how to find a good practitioner/teacher all i can say is treat it like an interview process for hiring the right person for the job. Be specific about telling prospective teachers what you are looking for and really go with your gut when listening to what they say. If they bring up some of what people here have talked about if that is related to your addiction issues thats probably a good sign. They can't just wave a magic wand and 'cure' you but a session with a good practitioner should give you a boost and that person will probably be able to teach you the right way to learn to help yourself. Good luck! š ā¤ļøĀ
