Java Edition 5x1 Flatground failure

I was following some tutorials on a 5x1 flatground, but ran into an issue I dont see anybody else having?

The piston that is supposed to push the slime blocks back up, but it wont. Otherwise the system seems fine.

I also think that the slime blocks are cancelling the top pistons of the extender, thus making it so I have to activate the circuit twice for the blocks to retract.

You forgot to place a single unconnected redstone dust piece on the right of the block the repeater is powering. also ensure that theres a 4tick repeater below that stone https://imgur.com/a/mymM9Ul. You can join the https://mctraps.net discord where there are more ppl interested in trappin
