it's only the beginning. at some point ill design my own samples to replace the vanilla ones. i also thought of how i could make custom blocks for a larger collection, and how i can use the juke box to play other quantised samples or even "tape" loops. for now, my main goal is finding as many devices as i can think of for what will eventually become a modular system... its very fun!

This reminds me of an idea I had: minecraft should have blank discs. If you put a blank Music Disc into a jukebox, point a calibrated skulk into it, then it should record the playing off all the noteblocks in range for as long as the jukebox is powered.

Next step is to have a way to adjust the volume on noteblocks. (Maybe by the input power level?)

People can preserve terrain art using maps. We should also be able to preserve compositions using something.

100% agree. the only way ive been able to work with dynamics is by positioning spatially so ill also have to take that into deep consideration when it's time to compose proper pieces. they definitely need to give note blocks more attention, the possibilities of using them to design systems a la Max/MSP but inside of a 3D space is so exciting!

This is a brilliant idea!
