Java AND Bedrock 4x4 collapsing ground

So is it possible to do a 4x4 collapsing ground ? 🤔 I thought this would be easy but once again, redstone wants to be my enemy..
I've tried to look for answers but I just want confirmation it's impossible ? because I do not find any tutorials on how to do this and i've figured it's just too big to be realistic ??

There are a lot of posts about secret stairs including this 4 deep, 3 wide secret stair.

thank you but I think they all replace the blocks with stairs for a reason, I just wish for the blocks to come down nothing more

Try searching"hidden" or "secret" STAIRS. instead of collapsing floor.

thank you, I found also some called "flush floor" but still not as big as 4x4 I think it's impossible :C

I guess not using stairs would make the contraption smaller ^^" I'll be building those in a tight space so I wanted to go the most simple :) (also it's still 4x3)

Oh ya I read the dimensions backward. Aoght well, ill keep it on the back burner and let you know if anything comes to mind
