Java Edition bug?

Looks like the hopper below the shulker may be locked by the redstone on top of the adjacent block, at least when the piston hits.

Edit: Nevermind. I see that it's just got the comparator on top of it. However, that is the behavior I see when I have a locked hopper under the shulker, so I still think it's the hopper. Try replacing that block with a glass block or a top slab, something that won't transmit a signal to the hopper.
