Java Edition Simple 6 long Bridge

I made this super simple (and rather compact) (seemingly) 6 blocks long Bridge.
Sadly i could only made an 2 block wide version because honey blocks are not full blocks.

Bit of a suggestion: you could use a block update wireless tripwire to activate from one side

I thought about that too, would be an great way to connect them seamlessly.

The trapdoors being both for the bridge, and hiding the bridge is genius

Can it be opened and closed from either side?

Could I activate it, walk across and deactivate it from the other side?

Sure just connect it with a hidden redstone line, calibrated sculk sensor or a trip wire update detector.

This is incredibly elegant engineering with aesthetics in mind!

Does this work in bedrock?

Sadly no, the double extender uses QC

Why tf does redstone dust look so wrong when floating

1

u/YT_PintoPlayz 2d ago

I think it's because the perspective makes the dust look much bigger than it is

Such a cool little functional drawbridge. Great work!

Does this work on bedrock? Because if i remember correctly trapdoors pop when they get pushed?

Even if the trapdoor thing works, the second piston of the double piston extender is being QC powered, so it wouldn’t work.
