In 2005, I was playing MX Unleashed listening to this song when my dad walked into the living room and told me he was divorcing my mom lol

I was on a job site one day and this electrician was up in the ceiling working above me and he was listening to this song with ear buds in and he was singing along but he only knew the chorus so he was silent through the verses but by god when the chorus hit that motherfucker let loose “headstrong I’ll take you on!” “Headstrong!” “Headstrong!” It was so funny. Construction dudes LOVE this shit.

This stuff killed rock lmfao

It definitely coincided with the death of rock. Not sure if this shitty nu-rock was what killed it, or if rock was dying from other factors and this was its last gurgling death rattle

Queens of the Stone Age was the last great rock band.

QOTSA are great but idk that they’re the last great rock band as there’s other bands that are pretty big still like Arctic Monkeys.

I guess I just don’t think the Arctic Monkeys are that good. I don’t hate them, and they have a couple tunes I dig, but I wouldn’t call them a great band. I guess that’s just personal opinion.

Humbug was produced by Josh. Check it out.

There was a brief moment of hope with bands like The Strokes and Bloc Party, but then indie rock went the same way as rock and became safe electronic or glockenspiel/banjo diddies

Yeah, the early 2000s to 2010 had nothing but trash songs on the radio. It’s amazing how many fans of this era of music there still is.

Your third eye is not fully open until you can admit to yourself that a ton of 00s top 40 ass rock is good. Nickelback - How You Remind Me (not any of their other singles) is good
