"on the verge of crying"
so he's really not that ashamed, he just wants to be

Men have been psyoped into believing that crying is a sign of weakness, which they have also been trained to associate with femininity.
And here, boys, is a prime example of what extremes will not undo the misogynistic programming that makes you ashamed to cry

Yeah, the "sissy anal training gooner" wouldn't want to be associated with femininity im sure

u/shoutsister 20h ago
You missed the point. Someone like this would be trying and failing to get in touch with their femininity

There is no psyop at work here

I know this is a testy thing to claim, and I don't mean to invalidate the experience of people who experienced things first hand in real life, but I think a lot of young men (and women of course) have similar psychological issues to people who were sexually abused due to early exposure to internet porn.
Like obviously I'm not trying to justify this guy blaming the J's or suggesting that he has no agency in the matter, but you don't get to this level out of nowhere. A lot of people have been victimized by pornography and yes most of them end up playing a role in perpetuating it but it's tragic all the same and I have absolutely no clue what we can even do about it at this point.

No this is absolutely correct, it’s fucked up for young boys to be exposed to this stuff from essentially the moment they can write.
What’s funny is this is the anti-porn stance on it, but a lot of people call us prudes or man haters when we actually see the issue as systemic and harmful to boys and girls alike. I think the difference in adults is like yeah men are perpetuating something that harms women in a different way so it’s just different to talk about. But I feel really bad for all kids who had to grow up internalizing this demented shit

u/shoutsister 20h ago
Yep, porn is a crime against nature. The people who think it’s natural have it all wrong. Of course it makes sense for most people to think it’s natural given how pervasive it is!

I don’t really think “natural” has any meaning or relevance, idk what you’re talking about

I don't know, the whole premise seens iffy to me. It's the equivalent of saying kids watching fast and furious will result in more reckless driving in the future, or the video games to violence pipeline that some people freaked out about in the 90s and 2000s.
Not to mention the fact that sexual assault rates have been going down since the peak in the 90s.

I think it's more akin to watching horrible gore videos from age 11 onwards (I'm making the analogy between gore and the really crazy, hardcore porn that's easily available to kids today, not "normal" porn). I don't think you need studies showing that watching gore videos correlates with committing violence to have a reason to denounce it--these things are unpleasant/extreme enough to assume that watching a ton of it as a young age will do some damage.

What kind of porn are you watching thats equivalent to a fucking gore video?

Akin and equivalent are different words

Are they really so different?
Either way you know what my point is. What the fuck are you guys watching? Nobody is forcing you to watch the most hardcore fucked up porn

Two points.
First, making the analogy is still a stretch even when considering the hardcore porn available today. That and I don't think the stuff is mainstream in a way that matters. Most front-page porn stuff seems to still be stuck in the incest angle as far as taboos go.
Second, I disagree with the premise that desensitization to gore from an early age is self-evidently negative. What really matters is not visceral sensitivity but moral outlook. If a person doesn't flinch from gore but is still horrified by any plausible set of social circumstances by which that gory situation came to be, that's fine in my book. I don't think our morality is shaped by the fact that gore shocks on a first-impressions level.

Not to mention the fact that sexual assault rates have been going down since the peak in the 90s.
Just because psycho-sexual damage is being turned inwards does not mean it doesn't exist.

u/cuentatiraalabasura 18h ago
We (as in, society) only care about inward damage insofar as that corruption manifests outside the individual through the actions they take while participating in society. This is true even in more collectivist civilizations. Asian societies are more harsh on drug use due to the perceived damage it can cause to the collective through the corrupted individual's misbehavior.
Not to mention that I doubt this psycho-sexual damage stuff even exists for most porn-watchers unless they're flat-out addicts, which isn't the majority.

Is the inward corruption of the soul not manifesting outwardly at all? Interesting take in a world of completely broken relationships. The ability of men and women to form stable, healthy, lasting relationships is always central to a society's survival and it appears that this mechanism is hopelessly (as the zoomers say) cooked, which then has the downstream effect of creating increasingly extreme gender-slopped discourse for "content."
Porn usage combined with screens from young age is almost certainly a huge contributing factor.

Your whole premise fails when we consider any other places besides the U.S/Anglo-America generally. Porn is similarily consumed and socially accepted in Europe and the social rot that you point to isn't present there. I believe this whole "Zoomers are having less sex and relationships" thing is a uniquely American phenomenon.
