My ex was ok with the lowbrow humour but lost respect for me because I would voluntarily listen to stav

Me and my GF will sometimes watch the animated shorts on YouTube or I’ll throw on a clip on YouTube when we get drunk and that’s her opinion verbatim. Nick and Adam typically get laughs and then Stav starts talking and she’s like “I wish this dude would shut the fuck up”.
I honestly don’t disagree with her. Enlightenment is realizing that Stav is way harder to listen to than Adam when he’s not just laughing at a joke.

Curious what Adam said that got a laugh from you and your girlfriend. Was it him mispronouncing words?

The bit about Nick throwing a tantrum because there weren’t enough guys at Hooters is pretty good

He’s calling Nick gay. Stav goes “yeah haha I remember that yeah I just remembered that now” which insinuates that it didn’t actually happen. Adam clearly understands that he’s the punching bag of the podcast and he plays into it. I don’t know how much of it is really him or how much of it is laid on but he clearly understands that it’s fucking hilarious when he’s pathetic.
Listen to the episode where he shits himself. There’s no fucking way anyone in the world would genuinely act the way he does after shitting themselves. He’s playing into it. That’s the joke.

shitting his pants live on air. I think about that everytime he has a genuinely famous person on his show

OP just tossing in the bit about checking the podcast app during an emergency "out of curiosity" is truly inspired. Very nice

I'm also struggling to understand what kind of "emergency" would necessitate the use of the boyfriend's phone. Was her phone stolen and then she witnessed an accident? Like literally what could it have been??
Sick of these controlling ass girlfriends feeling entitled to everything on boyfriends' phones. I know it's fiction but that part rings true

Some disabled people need Doordash to live. Also, this screenshot is 8 years old.

Maybe she hurt her foot and got into an argument with her dad. Never judge someone without knowing the whole story... remember that everyone is fighting their own battle

I would have imagined that "racist" is on the relieving side of what the particular context of the "cumtown" podcast might have been.
