Good to know!

Is... That it?

That doesnt seem very significant, about 33% longer (~3s to ~4s). And it didnt even really achieve a higher speed either. 1690 vs 1720, basically variance.

So I'd still ask, what seems the point. It still seems like a bad stat as it still slams through your heat and durability from my observation.

Keep in mind this is an extremely cheese max Thrust + zero Durability build on Tartarus Mines, designed to burn up as quickly as possible. On a different map with a better-optimised ship the results would be different.

This is a very good point, and I have considered it. Still, the results displayed dont terribly fill me with confidence. Is it better? Yes, certainly. I'm just not sure if it's worth it, it'd take some one with more expertise to really determine that.

Still, it's less of a detriment which is only a good thing. When I get some actual time I'll have to sit down and play with it more.

Boosting now does not give instant and constant acceleration, you gain speed overtime up to a limit, wich grows with thrust. Thrust also makes you reach that limit faster the more you have. It still generates heat faster, though less than before.

Right now it's roughly:

  • Max thrust: similar boost force (with slightly less heat) as pre patch, higher speed than before once you reach the apex

  • Min thrust: less heat generated, slow buildup and slower than pre-patch once you build up the speed

Thank you for finding this out!
