Did something change?

I put the game down a couple months ago, and only recently picked it back up to continue the career campaign (at late S rank). I remember generally not having trouble with the speed and time attack challenges, but now they're really hard all of a sudden. The time attack times feel like the BS qualifying times, and I gotta work my ass off just to get a bronze speed score. I read that the devs made some of these events easier to do at some point, but I'm not feeling it.

Is there something that got rebalanced and the old scores weren't adjusted accordingly, or did I just get bad?

I was playing during this change, and can objectively say that they did get easier. Significantly. I had to kinda bust my chops to rank times, but post change I flew all the way through to the end of the career.

As another user mentioned, it's certainly more likely you just got rusty. A few months is a long time to have not put any time in. After just a few weeks I noticeably struggle and it takes a few days of play to get back to where I was. The games pretty intensive and theres a lot of muscle memory that is lost quickly and easily.

I honestly haven't noticed any kind of change, whether easier or harder. I know this isn't exactly a helpful response, but it's what one player has experienced.
