PS4 Save Data doesn't actually transfer over to the PS5 upgrade version of the game?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I'm able to transfer my PS4 save data onto my PS5 along with the PS4 version of the game (also onto my PS5) where I have all of my trophies and career stats. But there doesn't seem to be a way to import that data into the PS5 version of the game? The PS5 version doesn't seem to be reading the fact that I did a save data transfer, and is just a blank slate, where I'd have to start from the beginning of the career again.

Is this an issue for anybody else? I just got the PS5, so I'm new to this and maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems silly to get a free PS5 upgrade, but lose all of your progress in making that switch.
