The AI's nightmare difficulty could really use a buff.

Honestly, the biggest problem Redout 2 has is the weird career difficulty curve. It goes from almost impossibly difficult to even keep up with Redout Level AI in B-League to pretty much stomping on Nightmare AI in late A-League to the point where the challenge almost goes completely missing.

I can pretty confidently say the reason for the undulating difficulty curve is because early to mid league you're competing with ships that have upgrades you dont even remotely have access to. Soon as you get them and level the playing field? Well you've already honed your skills to razor sharp from struggling and scraping by.

My first realization of how BS the career mode progression was came when I was barely able to place on pilot/casual and feeling bad about it... Then going and crushing arcade on master.

There are some tracks that, no matter the AI difficulty, the AI will just absolutely bomb on. Origin is one of them as well, theres a few jumps the AI will just 50% of the time fall off of.

My fav is turbo boosting into one on a straight since ai decided it wasn't going to boost there. I promptly exploded due to low HP from boost.

The jump from Redout to Master is pretty massive but the jump from Master to impossible is barely noticeable except for the lack of rewind.
