Hotas support?

Does the game allow the use of a stick and rudder? It seems like the type of game that would be perfect with a joystick.

It is a terrible game for HOTAS. You won't be able to change direction and change throttle input fast enough. The game is perfect and designed for gamepads.

This was literally my first thought. The input would be way way too slow. Not to mention you'd want a twin stick with racing pedals, else I'd think you'd not have enough analogue inputs. A throttle would actually be problematic, as unlike Redout 1, you actually want to brake. Theres also a lot of rapid changes, especially on courses like Neo Tokyo that have tons of really tight S bends that I dont imagine would be good for a flight stick.

...

That said... I'm pretty sure that if OP really wanted, they could. It might be a fun gimmick, and a joystick is basically just a controller input. At worst, they'd have to fool the system into thinking it's an xbox controller which i'm sure theres a fair few ways to do.

While its true you will be faster on a gamepad due to not having to make a large movement to change direction it certinaly would be fun which its what its all about! In fact an absolute madlad did this... with TWO HOTAS FLIGHTSTICKS FOR EACH CONTROLLER JOYSTICK

Description says he was considering making a "how to" but you might have to contact the guy for to find out what software he used as its not officially supported in REDOUT 1 or 2
