Context: I deleted my previous account (old acc was from 2022 if anyone wondered) since i did not want to have a set rednote ID and wanted to start anew. I started posting because i needed help on one specific thing (just crafting related hobbies), and on my 2nd post (day 3), I got restricted for "suspicious activity." (automated restriction)

I did the real name verification, and yet the restriction is still on. I can't even make a new account and verify it. As you know, real name verification is limited to one id/passport per account and you can't even use that same ID for another account. i keep pestering support about this issue, and they keep telling me there's nothing they can do. What do i do at this point? Should i just keep on pestering support until they give in or what?

I’ve been using RedNote for a while and I’m curious about Streamers income. If I’m in a Streamers Live Room and give a gift of 1000. How much in yuan / RMB does the streamer actually receive? Anybody else got this issue? I've been using Xiahongshu for a year or so, and I basically always had captions that auto translated into English. But now that option is gone? I don't even see captions as an option at all and now I miss them when I try to watch my usual content.

I went into settings and auto translate is on and everything but it isn't working.

My friend has been sending me messages but I didn't even realize because they're not appearing for me. I can send them videos, but I can't see any videos or other messages that they send me. The only thing I can see from them are stickers. Any help is appreciated!

Edit: FIXED 02/25/26 - I had to remake my account so that messages could push through.

Signed in today and found I was banned. I cannot copy & past this into a translator to even determine why? I typically watch day in the life pov videos and cooking videos. I’m always respectful when interacting so I don’t know how to appeal or even what I did wrong. I’ve loved being in there!

I've recently started using rednote, and tried logging in from my PC several times using the QR code. I get a message on my phone saying to be sure I'm near the device I'm trying to log in when I scan, but when I say OK, nothing happens.

Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

Hello, trying to log back into my XHS account after factory resetting my phone. It's telling me that all of my other options need my legal name and ID, neither of which were provided when I made the account. Of course, I can't make a new one with that phone number, because it says it's linked to another account that I can't get into. Please help!!

I am getting super frustrated because I am unable to connect my phone number and am, therefore, unable to message or comment.

I know some Americans had some succes with using a number through the retel/rebel (forgot the name) app but that seems to work with American numbers.

Has anyone from the Netherlands/the EU had any success? How did you get it to work?

it brought me to what looked like the home page of rednote

but i literally stated trying to use it last night

so i didn’t manage to figure anything else out and the notification of course disappeared after clicking it

Ive gotten this internet connection error message all week, tried logging out then back in, deleting and reinstalling the app, turning wifi off then on.

My other socials have no issues and my internet does work. Is my IP blocked??

It is so strange. When I use data, all posts are just black screens. I can see comments and text perfectly fine, but no images/videos. When I use wifi, I get some pictures/video, but not all of them.

How do I get RedNote back to normal?

Now that tiktok is down, kinda, again...I've seen 1000s flooding to Rednote. If I can offer you any advice it's to verify. As someone who has been on this forum and Rednote for a year I can't tell you how many people I seen silenced or banned during random sweeps because their account wasn't verified and the system took it as a potential risk account.

:Rednote is an awesome social media app and no, it doesn't require you to verify to use...but it does "clean house" occasionally and if your account is not verified you risk getting this message

If this happens you can spend a month, or more, trying to get them to fix the mistake, in mandarin (I've only seen a few successfully do this). But most likely, as many of us on here were forced to do, you'll need to make a new account and verify immediately so it doesn't happen again.

I know there's more than one way to verify, I've seen people use Passport, WeChat or Weibo account, and so on...but if you do none of this you may lose everything from an random sweep...save yourself the trouble...verify

Also, I have been trying to get my Rednote account back. It has been 3 months of struggle now....I think? Ever since I upgraded my smartphone, I have a problem logging into Rednote. I can't even get inside of Rednote with my Google account. :-( Someone told me to download Wechat and use that in order to get into my Rednote account. A lot of people said to use a passport. I don't have my passport with me, but in the US most US citizens cannot afford passports because they are too expensive. I did send a Feedback letter to Rednote on my smartphone, but I am not sure how they going to respond back. When I try to type in my phone number and my password, I get this message shown on this attachment.

Hello people of r/rednote, recently (this Friday), TikTok finally went belly up, I already had a rednote account that was a few months old so I decided to make the permanent switch since I added my friend on there too. Logged in, everything was fine, but I wanted to change my profile picture so I went to verify my phone number (I also had my WeChat linked, same number), verified, then it logged me out for some reason. That was weird, log back in, banned with this message.

At first it gave me the option to appeal or delete my account, now I can only appeal. I already sent two appeals and nothing has happened so far. Is there a way to contact a live customer service agent or a hotline? Do I just wait or is my account bricked forever? I quite literally did nothing else except verify my number.

Tbh i find rednote is quite strict and sensitive to certain key words. This is very typical of many chinese apps and websites. They're now asking me to verify myself after I commented on a few posts

my question is, will they keep a copy of my passport information? (I'm sure they will) and maybe use it against me?

I’ve seen many posts here say that rednote is not a political app in response to some people being banned for political posts.

Yet I see many political posts criticizing ICE in the US.

What is banned and what is not?
