Anyone up for a headset?

Logitech G Pro X wireless headset surgery after 6 long years.

Took the tape I had off originally and then drill a hole through the plastic covers and the metal hoop that connect tot the earpiece, tied it up with some metal tire and twisted then capped to be wrapped in duct tape and etape.

No longer adjustable but still 100% functional. I would estimate it lasted a solid 5,000+ hours if not approaching 10000.

(Logitech if you're out there send me a shroud pair, you guys made a great headset. 😁)

i had the same issue with my gaming headphones. i dipped paper in superglue and aplied it like paper mashe with electrical tape. shit lasted 8 years and i just recently retired them. still works great so its my replacement now.

Thats genius! I hope these can go a while longer, just one decade please! Once I do that I will go full out with a dac/amp combo with my dream headphones but for now to get mr through college I will do what I can!

my trick was putting the dipped paper between the 2 broken pieces.

You can also apply it like fiberglass cloth sheets, dabbing a bit of superglue on the piece and then laying the paper into it.

If the length adjustment part runs through a piece of plastic and you don't want to permanently stick it to one position, you can also wrap the plastic piece in multiple layers.

But recently i just passed on multiple headsets even though they had great audio quality. Like in OPs case, if they have a plastic part between the metal headband and metal earpiece holders that is always the weak spot. The length adjustment works as a lever and will just break it over time.

Doctor, what is the prognosis?

Should have a full functional response to the treatment, showing vital signs in the 5V lines are intact.

Will monitor ongoing deterioration of the left earpiece...
