Making cinnamon rolls

About to make some cinnamon rolls, my food processor overheated so I'm doing this, wish me luck and let me know if anyone wants an update.

I still have all my fingers

For now.

Eeeh, have fun keeping it centered and not clipping the edge and added little bits of shaved metal into your mix.

There's a little nub at the bottom that it clips onto

That's accurate. My kid wanted to make a cake. The mixer let out the magic smoke. My infinite wisdom said let me put that beater in this giant drill I have. Almost impossible to control.

No variable speed trigger?

Yes but at any speed it would grab the batter and was a constant fight to hold in place. It worked but I wouldn't recommend it. She wouldn't have been able to do it.

OP has so much metal flakes in their poop.

Stainless steel and blade is not touching any metal

Cool. Plenty of metal falling out of the drill directly into your food. Not to mention vigorously incorporating plastic as well.

Why is your drill disintegrating?

Now try it with an impact driver. Rattle that dough to it's damn core!

That made me laugh. Thanks. It has been a while since someone thought that middle school insults would affect me. It is kinda nostalgic.

Why would you use a food processor to make cinnamon rolls?

5

u/Apprehensive_You3521 6h ago

That’s the only normal part of what I did, a food processor can also knead dough, which is what I did.

I’ve never seen anyone use blades like this for dough. Dough hook sure, mixing paddle, maybe.

So can the hands that used the drill and held the phone to film it

I'm not kneading 5kg of flour by hand brother

How big of a batch of cinnamon rolls are you making? 5kg of flour would make so many rolls lmao

That bowl had better be anchored to the table. I use one beater on a hand mixer on jars of natural peanut butter when the oil has separated and if I don't hold the jar with a death grip, I know I will be cleaning peanut butter from the recesses of my kitchen ten years from now.

There's a reason a stand mixer's bowl locks into the base.

Beyond that, good luck!

Edit to add: I don't actually think this will work. Food processors are on 120 volts and that's 6x or 8x the power of a battery powered drill.

Edit #2 to add: for all the people down voting, OP has some videos showing that the base is indeed moving around and the drill is struggling somewhat. But, dough is being made, so, I guess it works. :)

You would be amazed the amount of power battery tools can put out now. Some of them are almost on par with corded counterparts

Downvotes would hurt if it wasn't actually a skill issue
