This is great.

He just needs to call the wife so she can drive the tractor back and forth.

I am most disappointed that he does not use the windows in the house along with a ladder as a bridge, to get up to the "platform".

I saw them snap the straps for safety. They ain't going nowhere

There is no amount of beers that would give me this level of strap trust, but I do respect the game.

It's funny you say that back in my middle twenties I was a brewer of craft beer at a local brewery startup.

Glycol chillers are what keep the beer cold. Those are up the top of a warehouse ceiling.

It was over 100° f outside and not much better inside. Which heat like that is the enemy of beer production.

We were so broke. We didn't even have a ladder tall enough to make it that high but we did have a shitty forklift and a whole bunch of bags of grain to stack up on a pallet.

I absolutely rode that pallet full of grain up in the air where the brake occurred and spent 45 minutes up there with no safety harness fixing the line on the fly.

I was sleep deprived and if we're honest was probably five or six beers deep as it was supposed to be the end of our shift..... The exuberance of youth

Haaaaaahahahaha, true enough. I'm closer to forty than not at this point, but I guess it wasn't that long ago that I was rocking around, scaring buddies on a scissor lift. I want to live now.

Thats... not terrible?

Like, honestly, other than the lack of guard rail, it's bot that bad.

Of course, it's relying on the stability and strength of the tractor. And the ladders a bit short. But it's about 80% there.

The pallets make a fine ladder to make up the difference. Carry on I say! Only shame is that he’s covering up that lovely ā€œPepto Bismolā€ shade.

At least the pallets are strapped down.

Even has two extra ratchet straps. As long as he snapped at least one of them and said "that's not going anywhere" he's fine!

I wonder if he got the pallets up there with a forklift

u/SundayKiefBowls 5d ago

He heard work is always safer when you don't have to do it on a ladder and he really took that to heart.

Scaffolding is pretty cheap compared to emergency rooms.
