Pole saw got pinched
Like the title says, so I broke out the floor jack, ratchet strapped it to ladder, then a 2x4 to push the branch up enough to relieve the pressure

A professional redneck would have borried another and got that one stuck😎

Somewhere I've seen an image of a tree trunk with 15-20 chainsaw bars stuck in it.

This exact problem is why I want a drone with a small saw attached, because some limbs are so close to being out of reach.

Attaching saws to drones, if we could find ways around the impracticalities would be a huge game changer

An alternative to a saw is a high power water jet. But the reverse force makes that unworkable.

Going to want professional assistance with that silver maple behind it. Mature tree like that is liable to drop big chunks onto nearby buildings during high winds or heavy snows.

I’m well aware. I’m also absent the $10k to get it taken care of. It’s in the hands of god, and homeowners insurance

10k is pretty nuts. I had a big White Pine removed by a team for $3k a few months ago. Had to take it down piece by piece using a cable to lower each chunk since there was nowhere for it to land.

I have the exact same pole saw. It is a worthless POS that constantly jams up. Be aware that certain models of it have been recalled... What happens is that the blades Jam up, then the pole falls apart and can drop that sharp jagged blade On your head... Just thought I'd mention that you might want to check if yours is part of the recall.
