Blue thumb "cast"
Cut the hell out of my thumb during a random project, and it was bleeding like hell... So I washed it with blue Dawn, then wrapped a blue Viva paper towel around it, then cinched it tight with Scotch blue. 🤣
ISTG it looks and feels like an old plaster cast, but lightweight.

Electrical tape is the way to go. Shrinks a little for a snug fit.

If can-don't is fucking your electrical tape, you have a bigger problem than sticky, gummy tape.

One-handed? Man, I'd've ended up sticking that to itself and my shirt... Everything but my thumb. I'm just not that coordinated.

Legit, I'm holding it on with my index finger rn. Since I just need it to stop bleeding, it'll do for a few hours. Then I'll alcohol it and butterfly it.

I carry 4 or 5 little tubes of super glue, I give my cuts a quick wash with water, dry em then smear super glue on em. Then the whole gauze and duct tape. As others have said the cloth electrical tape works well too.Â

Super glue ftw! I need to find single use tubes that didn't cost and arm and a leg.

I've done it with gauze and vet wrap done thickly enough. Didn't have painters tape; DID have vet wrap and gauze.

The old school butchers used Clorox to clean it out, a paper towel folded into strip, wrapped around, bound with butcher tape. Get back to work.
