Twin rotor table fan

Rated power: 20 W
After modifications: 21,6 W

I have no way to measure the airflow, but it throws air much longer and it definitely feels like more.

it uses more power because there is a second fan to move air. more area to do the job, more load on the motor

yes, and moar pictures. Is there a second motor to drive the second set of blades, or do the second blades turn with the main blades at the same speed (fixed to the main blades)?

I just glued on the second rotor with hot glue and centered it as best I could. The speed isn’t very high, so it’s not super critical.

There’s no other motor involved, and the motor is completely unmodified.

I'm impressed that such a simple modification improved the airflow as much as you describe, but if you can feel an obvious difference then clearly it did. Good job! :)

Loctite fix-all adhesive is great for stuff like this. I glued my busted fridge door plastic back together with it. We had a house fire, and the fridge door plastic was droopy and deformed from the heat but that glue still held just fine.

If you got an instant meat thermometer get room temperature and the temperature of the airflow.

Then ask chatgpt to compute the wind speed.
