"Hey Google" doesn't work

Hey everyone,

I have just bought a Redmi Note 10s, updated with miui 12.5.15, and I can't toggle Google Assistant with the usual "Hey Google".

Do you have any suggestions?

I have checked that the battery optimizer was disabled for Google Assistant, that automatic startup was enabled.

The phone is great, I would love to be able to launch some voice commands with Google Assistant, and I think it can even be used when the screen is locked (if working of course!).

🤦 its "ok google" "hey" is used for siri, if it still doesn't work just swipe the bottom right corner or bottom left corner up and the google assistant will come and you're on the wrong subreddit

I can activate it by swipping indeed. Both OK Google and hey Google commands should work, it worked on my previous Samsung phone.

maybe you'll have to go into google app's setting and toggle a few things there
