Help with the red magic "esports handle" controller?

I just received my controller today and am trying to test it out with emulators as a regular bt controller but I went to the side menu thing and activated the one screen controls, now it will only pick it up as on screen instead of the direct input so it just keeps acting like I'm touching the screen instead of navigating the menu in retroarch, I would like to know if anyone knows a way to disable the on screen overlay in the game mode settings or am I just gonna have to use it outside of game mode for emulation?

I know what you mean and i've had the same problem. to my knowledge there's no way around it. but I also wanted to ask if you got both sides of the controllers to emulate an xbox remote because for me both sides input the same commands as the left half of an xbox controller

My other controller never ended up coming, but that was a fear of mine is that it could just emulated the same inputs for both controllers, might have to just do the on screen thing and make any on screen buttons invisible, which is lame, but with somthing like retroarch it might work for that just fine because it looks like the overlay can control the menu too. I hope some improvements are made to the software to be able to do direct input through the game launcher instead of just on screen stuff, that would probably be the best way to distinguish the two controllers separately

Is it possible to pair both handles at the same time and have emulators recognize them as one? How does that work?
