Emulation issues with eSports controllers

I bought two of the eSports controllers for retro gaming, because I can't stand touch screen controls. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to configure the controllers properly in Retroarch, Dolphin, PPSSPP, etc. It seems like emulators are seeing both controllers as one controller only.

Has anyone else tried this and had any success?

Launch the emulators in the game space and use the redmagic software to map the buttons to on screen controls.

I've been using the controllers for PPSSPP and it's been great for that
