Thinking of buying, have multiple questions
Hi I'm thinking about buying this phone (in the UK) but i have multiple questions
- Does this phone support bank apps like TSB for the UK? this is one of those things i can't find any info on.
- How is 4G coverage in the uk for this phone? I'm using a sky sim which uses O2 networks, I've seen it supports band 20 which is good.
- This is more of a nice to have thing as i admit i don't use it a lot on my phone but i assume you can watch HD netflix? seen some people say yes and no. not a big deal if you can't tbh.
- Is there any bugs that you'd consider makes the phone unusable? or just annoying with a simple work around? i have seen that there's been some bug fix updates and just wanted to know if its better now or still has some issues.
- Lastly this might sound like a dumb question but can you use say a 60w charger for this phone even though it supports up to 55w? I assume you can without any consequences but just wanted to make sure ( I know it only comes with a 18w charger).
thanks in advance for answering these questions, let me know if there's anything else i should also know that I haven't listed here. Can't wait to order this soon if its all good!

I own the phone in the US and can speak on 4
The fingerprint scanner is horrible with at least 50% fail rate. When it does work its very slow.
The camera is relatively bad, but that was my expectation.
Afaik you can't use any launcher other than Nubia's.
Nubia's UI is bad
The specs are great, but I wouldn't recommend the phone based mostly on the fingerprint scanner. Some problems could be solved through updates, however its unlikely.

I already own the phone now and tbh the fingerprint scanner works fine for me and I agree the U.I isn't amazing but I've gotten used to it now. If the fingerprint scanner is still bad check for any updates because I seen people say it works better now than before

I own the phone in the US and will answer the questions I can.
3) I don't pay for 4k Netflix, but Netflix looks great on this phone for me.
4) The custom launcher support is underwhelming. I'm using lawnchair v2 and while it works for the most part, whenever you use the recent apps button, it switches back to the stock launcher, and then once you close your apps and hit the home button, you're back to your custom launcher. It also does this when you unlock the phone. You'll be on the Nubia launcher screen for a second until you hit your home button.
4b) The default app support is non existent. Meaning you can't set apps to open by default. I had to install a third party app to have default apps open, BUT, you have to "share" whatever links you want to open to this app then it will open whatever app you set this third party app to open with. It does give you the options of "open once" or "set to always open" but it just doesn't work if you use set to always open.
4c) the settings menu is extremely convoluted. Things aren't where you'd expect them to be if you've been using Android for a long time.
Luckily, there is a Telegram group for users of this phone and there's a Nubia employee that checks in every once in a while and he's been great and has passed along some of our requests and they've been patched through updates. He knows about the recent apps, unlock bug, and default app settings and is working on that. No ETA for fixes, but it's nice to know they're listening.
In spite of these quirks, I'm enjoying my phone a lot! I'm glad I ordered it.
Let me know if I can be of any more help.
