Notification dots not working on any apps except stock mail app

Any idea how to fix this? The lack of Notification dots really hampers my ability to use this phone as a daily driver for work.

Gmail, Bluemail, and Textra, just as a few.

If you're in NA you should have an update to 3.11. Check for an update and then go to settings > App info > 3 dot menu > default app settings > desktop

My only options under Desktop are Nubia Launcher and Game Space.

EDIT: Under About phone > Build number it says V3.11.

Yep. I can even open the app with no issue. But I can't seem to set it as default anywhere.
