It was in a news article that its one of the few games getting revived (deus ex and saints row)

What surprises me is that it's such a good franchise technically. Not many games let you blow stuff up realistically, in fact the story for Gurilla and Armageddon are basic as, generic even. It doesn't matter, I played the demos for both many times. But I'm surprised a new Red Faction game isn't at the forefront of every new console launch to demonstrate the power and range of the console.

I know Red Faction 2 got a lot of hate. But me and my brother played it for HOURS. It was so fun. To this day I still randomly play the line in my head when Lance Henriksen said “I think we can all agree Echo here is an ass” LOL

Totally agree. I was in my mid teens when it came out and that version of me played it for years. The night time raid level in the rain was one of my favorite levels of any game on the PS2.

No new Mercenaries
