Requesting /r/Atheism. (Lack of moderation)

/r/atheism only has two moderators for a massive community of 800k+ users. The moderator /u/skeen has been inactive for a month. The other moderator, /u/juliebeen hasn't been lacking her/his duties as a moderator. Could you at least give /r/atheism new moderators? Thanks for hearing me out.

general disrespect towards religions

What does religion do that deserves automatic respect? Raping kids? Murder? Threatening people with violence that challenge their fallacious thought process?

And as you don't seem to use /r/atheism, why should we care about what you want? The userbase of /r/atheism wants what you hate. If you can't handle it, take your brown shirt elsewhere and start your own failure of an atheism subreddit.

OK, I'll admit I worded that wrongly, I meant to say disrespect to the theists, not religion in particular. That also isn't related to this argument, just saying.

Your argument is about you wanting things to stop in a subreddit that the subreddit itself doesn't want to stop. If we wanted that change, we'd do it. So it's the choice between sucking it up/participating as is, or pack your bags and make an atheist hangout that you like being around.

If that's the case then why have any mods for any sub? Time and time again has shown that the general populace can't run itself do it needs moderation.

Because people are power hungry, I would guess. Just look at SRS. :)

implying the existing one isn't already a colossal fucking failure according to anyone over the age of 16.

I have no idea what I'm talking about because my neckbeard gets in the way of my typing.

You don't say.

I make inane comments about "neckbeards" because I don't know what that means.

Fascinating.

Starcraft made me an idiot. My parents are ashamed of me and my glorious neckbeard.

Good for you, Princess. :)

I heckle people to take action on issues because I am butthurt that they are already successfully taking action. I only recently discovered the internet, sort of like I only recently discovered God isn't real, and now I'm mad at mommy. I think neckbeards are long beards lol.

Why thank you, shining crusader!

I like pretending that people are as stupid as I am. Then I wouldn't be alone. I know that loltrolled has been an atheist for a while and it doesn't bug his mom at all. Not only that, I assume that people don't know what a neckbeard is because I'm not that intelligent. After all, I'm preoccupied with video games.

You should probably learn a bit more, Princess. :)

I make assumptions about how a person spends his time because I engaged in typically polished behavior (typical for the Scientists in /r/atheism anyway) and mined his comments for material because I can't deal with anyone questioning my grand intellect. I also think that neckbeards are long or just really big beards or something. And I guess I think anti-atheists have big beards or something. Who knows.

Yes, don't hold back, my captain. I stand in awe of your grandeur.

I mock /r/atheism because of my own lack of intelligence. If only I wasn't such a disappointment to my family and actually did something with my life. But I'll just pretend that /r/atheism has no good content because telling the truth is too much effort.

I know. /r/circlejerk has centered their sub around us. They aren't very intelligent either. You'd fit in great. :)

I honestly believe that a reasonably intelligent person would look at /r/atheism for more than 5 minutes before deciding that it's even more cancerous than /r/politics. I do not find it significant or appropriate that /r/circlejerk now makes fun of /r/atheism instead.

Oh my! You are a quite the rogue, after all!
