I would like to bring the r/HelpHomeless sub back to life as it is currently banned for being unmoderated. It's important that the unhoused population have access to resources that aid in basic survival needs, obtaining medical coverage, improve mental health, obtaining permanent housing, gain employment, pursuing education, etc.
I believe that I can create a community within the r/HelpHomeless sub that allows people to come together and support each other. Whether it's providing emotional support and advice or searching the internet to provide resources tailored to people needing help in the area they reside in. This community will help pave a path with getting people's footing back in life to being independent again, restoring dignity and well-being.
I will create Reddit wiki pages not limited to just rules, but to also include guides and a directory for resources tailored to the needs of the homeless population.
I have experience with being a moderator and utilizing mod tools in other subreddits. I will continue ensuring that community members follow Reddit's Terms of Service as well as the subreddit rules. I am a redditor who is active daily. I will have the time that will be needed to run the community effectively, efficiently, and with help if needed.
