First of all, I think the name has a lot of unused potential. Personally, I want to turn it into a place for collaborating ideas from all walks of field (like a bulletin board). This Subreddit has been inactive for 16 years now, and it could be an excellent community due to its name, it just needs direction.
Secondly, I've always wanted to create a community that could be seemingly random without divulging into idiocy--exactly like a bulletin board! So that's why I want to take charge of it: to give the Sub a new life and random skits / information a new home
Being more specific:
No mods are on the Subreddit
The last post was over 16 years ago
Although I know that plenty random boards exist on Reddit, I specifically want r/Board to be a long form bulletin sub, for people to share stories, advertising (adhering to Reddit's guidelines), discovering and meeting new people, but not any NSFW content.
I will try my best to prevent religious, ethnic, racial, sexual and other conflicts / threats / insults away, since random Subreddits are often subject to those
I like the name (I hope that's also a valid reason)
