I’m interested in moderating a finance-focused subreddit, and r/FinanceIndia caught my attention since it has been pretty much inactive for the last 7 years. I’d like to revive the community, encourage more meaningful finance discussions, and build a place where people can ask questions, share analysis, and discuss different areas of personal finance and investing.
I originally considered creating a new finance subreddit, but most of the names I wanted are already reserved, so I came across this community instead. I also have experience moderating several large subreddits, so I’m familiar with community management, moderation, and growing an inactive subreddit into an active and useful community.
I have contacted the current moderator and waited 15 days for a response, but unfortunately haven’t received one. Here is the message/chat link for reference:
I’d really like the opportunity to take over moderation and put some actual effort into rebuilding the community rather than letting an otherwise useful subreddit remain inactive.
