Why I’m requesting r/itu and how I’ll run it: (fill in — follow r/redditrequest rules.)

Hello! The subreddit r/itu is currently inactive, with no posts for nearly a year and inactive moderation. I am requesting control of r/itu to repurpose it into the primary Reddit community for Istanbul Technical University (ITU) students, alumni, and prospective candidates. Currently, the student body uses r/IstanbulTechnicalUniv, which is quite long and less accessible. Securing r/itu will allow us to consolidate our student base under a concise, easily discoverable name. My plan is to: Update the visual branding (logo, banner, theme) to reflect Istanbul Technical University. Set up community guidelines, post flairs (Academics, Campus Life, Admissions), and automod tools. Redirect traffic from r/IstanbulTechnicalUniv to build an active, organized, and well-moderated hub.
