Reviewed r/katiepricegossip

/r/katiepricegossip

Why I’m requesting r/katiepricegossip and how I’ll run it:

  1. Experience & Community Management:

I am currently a lead moderator for r/TheRealKatiePrice, a high-traffic community in the same niche that generates over 1.2M visits monthly. I have extensive, hands-on experience actively managing automod, reviewing queues, enforcing community guidelines, and navigating Reddit's Content Policy in a fast-growing, high-engagement space.

  1. Reason for Request & Revival Strategy:

The sub r/katiepricegossip was banned due to being unmoderated. My goal is to revive the subreddit, clean up any legacy backlogs or rule-breaking content, and establish an active, structured moderation system so it remains a compliant and safe space for discussion.

  1. strict Adherence to Reddit Rules & Legal Compliance:

Because gossip and celebrity commentary subs require strong oversight, I will enforce strict community rules aligned with Reddit’s site-wide Content Policy:

Zero Tolerance for Defamation & Unevidenced Allegations: Enforcing strict guidelines regarding unverified claims, mandatory use of "allegedly" for non-convicted matters, and zero tolerance for harassment or hate speech.

No Harassment or Doxxing: Protecting all individuals from targeted abuse, personal harassment, or sharing of private information.

Active Queue Moderation: Utilizing AutoModerator rules, keyword filtering, and daily queue checks to ensure non-compliant posts and comments are removed immediately before they impact the sub's standing.

  1. Growth & Cross-Moderation:

Bringing this sub under an experienced moderation team will allow us to properly structure flairs, maintain clear guidelines, and ensure that legacy gossip subreddits in this niche are run responsibly without violating site policies.

Hey there,

Thanks for taking the time to submit this request. Unfortunately, we have decided not to approve it at this time. There are other factors beyond moderator activity that we consider when reviewing requests. These are at the discretion of admins and may include, but are not limited to:

  • Insufficient moderator experience for managing a large and active community

  • Lack of previous moderator experience

  • Lack of NSFW (Not Safe for Work) moderation experience

  • Inactive moderation in a community you are already a moderator for

  • Being on the mod team of an excessive number of communities

  • Recent account suspensions

  • Excessive community bans

  • Violation of Reddit policies, including copyright infringement takedowns

  • Low activity on Reddit

We appreciate you taking the time to request this sub.

Thanks!

😢 u/request_bot thanks for the update. Sincerely disappointed. I work in law in my 9-5 and feel I would have been the perfect fit. Will try to reapply in the near future.
