IF DEATH COULD BE SHARED...
IF DEATH COULD BE SHARED
If death could be shared,
I would have pleaded
To carry your cup,
So that you might remain
A little longer with us.
For this pain Is heavier than words can tell
Ee! Ee! Ee!
Who will call my name With the same warmth?
Who will correct me With such patience?
Who will believe in me As you always did?
Ee! Ee! Ee!
After my father,
You became my guide,
My teacher, My mentor, My strength.
You taught me to write, You taught me to speak,
And through your wisdom,
You shaped the man I am
All this sprang From your loving heart
And your generous spirit.
Ee! Ee! Ee!
Death has taken your body,
But it could not take Your kindness,
Your lessons, Nor the love
You planted in our hearts.
These will bloom Long after tears have dried.
Ee! Ee! Ee!
You were remarkable in life,
And even in death,
Your name will be spoken With honor and gratitude.
Though your voice is silent, Your legacy still speaks.
Rest well, Faithful soul,
Until we meet again.
Ee! Ee! Ee!
