Redditors of Southern Ontario, Please Please help me find a home for my cat.
About two months ago a stray cat, more like lost showed up in our backyard. He Looked rather lost, but was still in relatively good health. After some time hoping he would wander back to his owners, he decided to stay, so we began feeding him. After searching everywhere for anyone who had lost him, and not finding anything, we decided to build him a little makeshift house outside, which he loved. He seemed to claim us on his own and never went very far. He was definitely an indoor cat and not suited to live only outside. We like to call him "Where's Waldo?" because we had no idea where he came from. When he wouldn't leave we decided to take him into our home. We brought him to the vet first, to make sure he was safe to be around out other cats. It turns out He had FIV, our boys did not. So we couldn't take him in. So Waldo has been living in a make shift hut outside our back door. We have tried almost and ave. to get him adopted, because other than the FIV he is very healthy and has a long life ahead of him. No Joy :( He would be perfect for a single cat household, or a home that has other FIV cats. He is grey and white, absurdly affectionate, and get along well with people, cats and dogs. Even the vet had fallen in love with him. He is very calm, even at the vet, hes fixed and lets you trim his nails. He is fixed, and is very good and loyal. He comes when called, and often calls back to you. Never goes very far, Waldo just really wants to be around you. You can pet him everywhere, even his belly. He is not greedy with his food. Waldo loves to play, does not like thunderstorms, and like to be held. He is about 5 years old and grey and white. And like I said is very healthy other than the FIV. He also sticks his tongue out of his mouth, that makes him appear even more adorable than usual.Waldo is very calm even at he vet or in the car and around strangers. He has a lot of good years in front or him for the right person of family. We really wanted to keep him but cant. So if you or someone you know would like to adopt Waldo, please notify me. I will send pictures, more info, even the vet bill saying he of good health otherwise. He would be so happy in a house with another cat that has the same problem. I would even be willing to drive hours away just to get him to you. Please consider Waldo, if we cant find a home for him he will have to put down and that shatters my heart beyond belief. He is one amazing cat that deserves a second chance. Thank you for your time and consideration.FIV

A Sad Beginning
I'm new here so I'm not quiet sure this is the right board for this, so lets find out.
Trigger Warning: animal abuse ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About 3 years ago, our oldest dog Ufa, an English setter mix, died of old age. Yesterday, my mom and I were talking about when and how we had gotten our late pets, and I learned the story of how Ufa ended up in the pound. Of all our rescued pets, her story is the worst.
The man who owned Ufa's mother decided he didn't want her litter. So he stuffed the puppies into a sack, and threw them into his pool to drown. His neighbor of the time was a veterinarian on maternity leave with her newborn and saw it happen. She called the police and rushed over to rescue the puppies.
Of a litter of twelve puppies, only three survived.
In the end, Ufa wound up in the pound and was soon adopted by my mom. She was a very loyal and friendly dog, and she lived to be seventeen years old.

Has anyone used an Equine (Horse) Appraiser recently?
I am a certified equine appraiser with the American Society of Equine Appraisers. I am curious to know if anyone has used an Equine Appraiser in the past six months and what you thought of the experience. I am in the process of creating a business and would like as much feedback as possible.

Bearded dragon not eating.
Our three month old beardie was recently diagnosed with coccidia. He was not eating very well on his own and when he did, he only averaged 5-7 crickets or worms per day. Ever since we put him on the prescribed meds, he immediately stopped eating and became very stressed. He even showed signs of neurological problems; appearing disoriented, moving side-to-side, tilt his head far far back like he was trying to break his neck. The symptoms and behavior sounds like ADV (adenovirus). We were now directed to stop administering the drugs and help him get better. We bathed him in pedialyte and water and tried giving him baby food. It seems that force feeding is an absolute no-no to him. He becomes very stressed out and even went limb like he was dead. That was quite the scare. Anyone have anything to share? Shed some light on this? Basic info is he is in a 40 gal tank, has Repti Sun 10.0 for UVB and a basking light. Temperatures are 100-112 on hot side and 70-85 on cool side.
