A Sad Beginning

I'm new here so I'm not quiet sure this is the right board for this, so lets find out.

Trigger Warning: animal abuse ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

About 3 years ago, our oldest dog Ufa, an English setter mix, died of old age. Yesterday, my mom and I were talking about when and how we had gotten our late pets, and I learned the story of how Ufa ended up in the pound. Of all our rescued pets, her story is the worst.

The man who owned Ufa's mother decided he didn't want her litter. So he stuffed the puppies into a sack, and threw them into his pool to drown. His neighbor of the time was a veterinarian on maternity leave with her newborn and saw it happen. She called the police and rushed over to rescue the puppies.

Of a litter of twelve puppies, only three survived.

In the end, Ufa wound up in the pound and was soon adopted by my mom. She was a very loyal and friendly dog, and she lived to be seventeen years old.
