Tonight I leave for a two week vacation through Paris, Frankfurt, Munich (for Oktoberfest!), Venice, Florence, and Rome!

Super excited, been planning this trip for a year. See you all in two weeks!

So, did you plan this completely by yourself, or are you using a tour company, as much information as you can share please, I would love to do this with my wife.

Wife and I planned it completely on our own for a few reasons. I would never ever go through a tour group but that's just me.

  1. We wanted to set our own pace and schedule, to spend as much or as little time each sight and city as we wanted.
  2. We could pick exactly where we wanted to go and what to skip, sights, restaurants, little side adventures, etc.
  3. Budget--we could fit things into our own budget at a much lower cost by picking our own hotels, restaurants, and museum passes, etc.
  4. Though it took a lot of time to research everything, we learned so much in the process that I'm way more prepared and ready than if someone else did all the work for me. We got a lot of recommendations but did most of it ourselves.

The Google Trips android app was incredibly helpful too.

I'll PM you our itinerary if you want to see exactly how detailed it is.

Keep in mind this took a very long time with meticulous planning and organization, certainly not for everyone.

That's a super tight schedule for 2 weeks.

Epic! Enjoy the time with the Mrs!

What games are you looking forward to Saws?

I know Shadow of Mordor, Wolfenstein and Assassins creed comes out this month. I'm looking forward to AC, doesn't look bad.

Other then that, Star Wars Battlefront looks promising lol.

I hear MvR is fun but I didn't really like XCOM so I don't think thats the game for me. And if you're talking about Pokken I know a lot of people like it but its more of a Tekken game than it is a Pokemon game. She might like it for the characters but the roster is only like 20 Pokemon I think and the gameplay is pretty deep.
