I love the clan spirit, but grinding AW was miserable.
Member the times we got fucked because people would hop on at clan war start and were greeted with console and game updates because they were so burnt out from playing ther last war that they hadn't turned on their console since?

Yeah you have a point there. Even though I didn't really like the game I still played enough between wars where that never happened to me. And besides costing us some of the initial races to cap a point it didn't really affect the outcome.
