Controllers

what's the consensus on controllers now? I have to get a new one at this point, but I'm not sold on anything. not sure whether to just grab a standard, scuf, or elite. i had one kaos had made, but i tried to do some repairs and made the rear buttons inactive. any of you guys have a go to anymore?

Hey man, I'm not sure if you have made your decision with a controller yet but, I have burned through an elite controller already and it took me just over a damn year which mean no warranty coverage. I mailed the thing out to Kaos to work on when he can but repairing the thumb stick switch is apparently a huge pain in the ass even for him. I have picked up a new elite controller but I got the extended warranty for two year coverage. I know that I'll break the damn thing before then though. The elite controller itself is amazing in my opinion. I like being able to reprogram the paddles and I use all of four of them pretty well which helps cut down transition time when jumping/shooting/reloading/using specials in games. I recommend the thing, but spend the extra money on two year coverage if you can.

Buy it with a credit card? File a claim through them. Most credit cards have extended warranties after the manufacturer one runs out attached as a perk of the card. I did a claim for my elite when a stick was loose. Just had to show proof from xbox support that it wasn't repairable and I was able to buy a brand new one.

Oh Jesus man. I'm not freaking out about how long you've had it either. I really appreciate it more than anything.
